Where I live in a chicago suburb, we got flooded in the last 3 years with them, it is just insane the amount of people who arrived in such a short time,

If you have the case no. go to online case status and take the print out of approved notice, that should serve you purpose hopefully if you don�t have a original copy

I believe change of status pending works the same way as extension applications when pending - one can continue to stay in the country post I-94 expiration as long as the change of status application has been filed prior to I-94 expiration - so the time spent after I-94 expiration does not count as out of status. Now if the change of status application is denied and the decision comes after I-94 has expired - I believe you have 30 days to leave the country - USCIS would send a notice stating the same as well and in that case one should leave the country as early as possible - within 30 days of such intimation.
I would still advise you to get an opinion from an immigration attorney to be sure that this is the way it works.

I saw the same thing in my online status, in october. What I got is a finger print notice which was originally sent to my old address which was on the I-485 application form. They redirected to it to the current address on file.
This is my guess: Since the online status has only few options, and may be the person who is updating it put it as 'document sent' and the one similar to that is the last one with 'Document production ....".
What I heard is, before they mail your GC, you will get a letter saying your I-485 is accepted. I never got that. I called USCIS and 'human robots' didn't have any idea on this, but they said my I-485 is still in the processing stage.

I was thinking you need your passlips (?) as proof of employment.

H1 can be revoked by employer anytime, but they'll have to arrange for return transportation(in my opinion it is not as safe a fallback as it is commonly believed to be) - as always it depends on the employer

As per the above post the I-797 has to be current for EAD renewal. I am not sure how this can be possible if i chose to use my EAD and discard my H1 status. In that case, not only my h1 stamp will be in expired status, and also I will not have a CURRENT I-797.
In that case, should i just send my copy of expired visa stamp and expired I-797 approval copy for EAD renewal? This is for my EAD, not my spouse's ead renewal.

assuming you don't have all your I-94s and I797s,
having W-2s/paystubs for all the years is enough to prove that you have always been in status?
Please do not make assumptions and post message like this. People come here for information. For these kinda questions, add some meaningful title, You know what I am talking about.

And yes, I am totally new to IV. The way it has been effective, I will surely contribute...
Even I had considered the idea of translating the BC myself or getting my friend to do it for me...but my lawyer suggested that BC is a very important document and USCIS is very particular about it. so it would be better if you get it done through a professional agency.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have signed all the forms and included all the documents. Wrote a cover letter listing all the documents in the packet(like Affidavits, W2's, Passport copy etc.), but in a hurry forgot to sign the cover letter.

I just received a FP notice for my wife scheduled for Sep 19, 2007. I have not received mine yet (I am the primary applicant), I have a few questions regarding this. Please help me if you have any information.
1. Is it normal for the primary applicant to not receive FP notice at the same time as dependent?
2. Can my wife get it done without me getting an FP notice?
3. Can I get my FP done on the same day as my wife even though I did not receive my FP notice?
4. I have filed for I-485, EAD and AP, will we both receive an FP notice for all 3 applications or it is just one FP for all applications?
Please help us with your expertise. Thank you very much for all your time.
